Large black and red plastic American art deco poker chip box circa 1940. This is an incredible deco design the lid being plain red whilst the box is black with a geometric Greek key raised design on the ends and a fluted raised design on each side. The inside of the box is divided into five sections holding 40 chips each and the plastic chips are divided as follows: 94 white, 49 red, 45 blue, and twelve burgundy. The chips all match in size with the exception of the burgundy. The box is in immaculate condition and the chips are in generally good shape with a few discolorations probably caused by tears! Overall length 10 7/8", width 5 1/2"
