American art deco set of four Chase individual canape plates (# 27001) designed by Lurelle Guild. The 1937 Chase catalog informs us that "with this smart-looking canape plate, you can hold a cocktail, a canape and a cigarette in one hand and shake hands with the other". Who knew? The plates are accompanied by 4 Chase cocktail cups (# 26002) designed by Harry Laylon circa 1933. Diameter of plates 6 1/4", diameter of cups 2 3/4". All pieces marked Chase, all in good condition with only some very minor surface scratching.
