Very pretty German mid-century modern "coffee for three" porcelain coffee set by Alka of Bavaria circa 1952. The coffee pot, creamer and sugar have a white porcelain ground with a "tree bark" type pattern in dove gray as does one of the cups and saucers. The second cup has the "tree bark" pattern in rose pink on a white ground and the third cup has the"tree bark" pattern in a pale sky blue on a white ground. All the pieces are incredibly space age in design and the coffee and sugar pots have white coolie hat shaped lids. All pieces are in perfect condition with no chips or crazing. Overall height of coffee pot 7 1/4", overall height of sugar pot 4", height of cream jug 3 1/4", diameter of saucer 4 1/4". Ideal for coffee in bed on the weekend if you happen to have two close friends!
