Unbelievable pair of Swedish art moderne silver plated candle sticks signed Gense and the mark for electroplated nickel silver (EPNS), which would seem to indicate that they were made for export. These are beautifully designed and very space age in feel. The candle holder itself is Saturn shaped and about an 1 1/2" below that there is a sphere and then the stem curves gently out to the base. Total height 13 1/4", diameter at top 2 3/4" and base 5". I believe that these are from the 30's or '40's but equally they could be from the 50's. Regardless they are brilliant. Condition excellent- I have had them beautifully replated in silver.
