Pair of Japanese Art Deco black, yellow, grey, and white high glaze pair of novelty ashtrays.  Circa 1930.  Great fun these!  One is signed on the base "Shafford", together with the words ‘hand decorated’.  When a cigarette is at rest the smoke comes out of the nostrils (very tasteful)!  The yellow on one is an ochre, and on the other is more chrome, but they are to be sold as a pair.
