American art deco chrome, aluminum and black lacquer floor standing ashtray circa 1934. This is one of the most beautifully designed of the deco ashtrays. I have seen it pictured once in a period interior but can find no other reference. It is unmarked but a real classic. It has a hinged ash receiver, some dents around the rim and some rust pitting to the base, but it still shows really well-and its rare! Height 21", base 8.5" in diameter.
