English art deco "Pull Match" holder in chromed metal, shagreen and wood circa 1935 by Aspreys of London. This very rare piece is stamped with a patent number # 4747580 and stamped in gold letters on the green leather base Asprey London. The shagreen plinth is in perfect condition whilst the chrome shows only minor surface wear. There are two chrome holders for a striking surface on either side of the plinth that show some rust corrosion. This is an elegant and very scarce item. Height 5 1/4", length 5 1/2".
