Classic high art deco French geometric brush and mirror set carved from solid ivory. These are from the same vanity set shown, in its entirety, on the dressing table in plate glass and metal by DIM of Paris in the 1930 Studio Yearbook and reproduced on page 171 of the excellent Taschen book "Decorative Art of the 30's and 40's" by Charlotte and Peter Fiell. This means, of course, that these ivory pieces are at least 72 years old and so can be sold. The design is exquisite, the condition immaculate and the only thing wrong in the whole set is one brush has two groups of broken bristles on one side. Total length of mirror back 10 1/4", width of mirror back 4", thickness 3/8" and the bevelled inset oval mirror is 5" in length, 3" in width. Brushes each 8 3/4" in length and 2 3/4" in width.
