Magnificent large American Art Deco chrome black enamel, red enamel and neon advertising clock.Circa 1930.This beautiful piece was made to advertise ‘Eclipse Fountain Pens’ which we are told in a wonderful deco script lettering are ‘ made to make you write better’.The company name itself is in a variation of the Broadway type face that is in a bright red incised with black.The chrome face is surrounded by a thin red rule with a red double circle for the minute divisions.The Roman numerals and the hands are very bold in black and in good condition.I have had the neon working but it needs an overhaul, so I am selling this ‘as is’ as it would be safer to do any work after shipping.The clock has a fitted hanging chain, but also four rubber feet so it can stand alone.This is one of the best advertising clocks that I have ever seen.
