Rare German Art Deco gold plated brass and blue minked enamel wheel and flint lighter and cigarette case combination with silver garnish.Circa 1939.This is a wonderful piece that spans a decade.Whilst the case and lighter itself is prewar, it has a silver map applied to the front that shows the British sector of occupied Germany that was obviously added post 1945.The map piece itself has wonderfully stylized type with the words ‘Brit Zone’.The blue minked enamel has some original owner paint ‘touchups’ (I didn’t do it honest!) but it looks absolutely great.
